Partnership Team

Amit was born in the USA, made Aliya at age 10, and grew up in Rehovot. She is married and the mother of 3 and a member of Kibbutz Tzora. She did her IDF services in the Nahal Army corps.
Amit has been part of the Partnership2Gether family since 2007, when she began as People to People Coordinator at Beit Shemesh – Mateh Yehuda – South Africa P2G. Following this, she served as Community Emissary (Shlicha) for the Jewish Federation of Milwaukee for 3 years, and there worked with Sovev Kinneret Partnership. She holds a Masters in Group Leadership via the Arts. In her not so free time, she enjoys making art from reused materials.

Noa Rosenzweig is originally from Kibbutz Rosh Hanikra in Israel but has been living in in Minnesota since 2014. She is the Israel Center Manager at the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and has been in this role since April 2022. Prior to this role, she was a Hebrew teacher at a variety of Jewish schools in the Twin Cities. Her husband, Zach, works in the field of 3D printing (worked for Stratasys) and they have a 2 young children, Alma and Yotam. Noa is really excited to work on furthering this partnership and looks forward to enriching the Jewish communities both in Minneapolis and Rehovot!
Israel Center Manager, Minneapolis Jewish Federation

Brenda Ganot is the project manager for Partnership2Gether in Rehovot-Minneapolis and previously served as part of HQ for the 248 Community Action Network.
She has worked for the Partnership unit for over 19 years. Brenda made Aliyah from California in 1984 and currently lives with her husband Steve in Beit Shemesh. They have 3 grown children. She is a community activist, and most proud of her involvement in founding Levana, the women’s prayer group in Beit Shemesh and Heritage Judaica Israel. She is a former International President of B’nai B’rith Girls.
Project Manager

Tamar (Tami) Kedmi has been working with the Jewish Agency since 1998 and joined the Partnership unit at the very beginning. She serves as Operations Coordinator for 7 different partnerships including Rehovot – Minneapolis.
Tamar lives in Beit Shemesh with her husband Ronen. She has 2 daughters and 4 wonderful grandchildren. In her free time she loves to travel around Israel and the world, to read, dance and sing.

Born in Australia, a citizen of Israel, Canada and the US, Eilat moved to Minneapolis with husband, Noam Harel, in 2000.
While bringing Israel to the community is an important goal, introducing world Jewry to Israelis is just an important as, “At the end of the day, we are Am Echad,” (one nation).
The quote, “A Jew is asked to take a leap of action rather than a leap of faith, “ is what motivates her in all the work, projects and collaborations she works on both on a local and global level.
Eilat enjoys nature, good books and movies with their two (grown up) kids, Ely and Lia.

While studying for her BA in Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy at IDC Herzliya, Michal co-founded a program connecting Israeli and international students. In 2018, she founded Tiyulim With Olim, helping new immigrants integrate into Israeli society under the World Zionist Organization’s sponsorship. Michal has experience in public diplomacy and political affairs, including leading advocacy delegations, interning for Knesset members, coordinating government relations, and working at Israel’s Mission to the EU and NATO. Known for her warmth and ability to connect across cultures, Michal values empowering young women. Her hobbies include singing, traveling, photography, dancing, painting, and enjoying good food.

Andrea Nadel-Tikh
I have lived in Minneapolis since 2011 - longer than anywhere else I've ever lived! I am a project manager at the University of Minnesota's Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain. My spouse Misha (who I met in Israel on a Masa program after college) and I have two boys - Aviv and Ilan - and two cats - Layla and Athena. I love to read, garden, bake (and eat), travel (especially to Israel) and learn foreign languages. A fact about me that I think is pretty fun is that I have lived abroad twice (in Israel and in Australia) and I am dying to do it again!

Gayle Kaplan
Partnership Co-Chair
P2G’s Co-Chair, Gayle is originally from the Boston area, received her BA from Brown University and her MBA from Northwestern University. She worked as a market research professional for a variety of organizations before switching to teaching, first providing instruction in business skills to refugees and others. Gayle has been a member of the steering committee since its inception working, hands on, on a number of the programs offered through P2G.
Gayle and her family (husband, son and two dogs) are members of Bet Shalom synagogue. She also teaches at Bet Shalom's Religious School. She is a long-time participant of the synagogue's Torah and "After the Torah" study groups. She is also a student in Grazt College's Jewish Studies Master's program.

Brandon Walzer
I grew up in the Minneapolis area attending Beth El synagogue and Armstrong High School and also being a part of BBYO. As an adult, I have spent time in non-profit, staffing, media and marketing, e-commerce and Saas (Software as a service) and currently work with Vonage as a Senior Account Executive as a remote employee covering the upper midwest. My family and I moved to Maple Grove in 2018 and my son goes to Wayzata Central Middle School. We had his Bar Mitzvah a few summers ago which included going to Israel and it was an amazing experience for all of us - especially those who had never been and prompted my son to look for additional avenues to return to Israel for a longer duration. We have a cat and a dog, and my other interests revolve around cooking, movies and TV, and cars/racing.

Donna Garber
I grew up and live in Minneapolis, and work at Target Corporation in Owned Brand product development. I am the daughter of an Israeli Sabra from Petach Tikvah and Oleh from Duluth (that eventually came back) – while residing in Minnesota most of my life; I grew up visiting friends and family in Israel and feel a part of both places. I am an output of the Twin Cities Jewish community, growing up in Reform Jewish Education, JCC Camping and participating in Israel programming from AMHSI to Semester Abroad at Haifa University. I have been on the P2G board about 1 year and look forward to continuing to partner with this awesome group.

Dani Fisher
Dani Kopstein Fisher has lived in Minneapolis since 2007. With her husband Alex, who works for the Minnesota JCC, Dani is raising three children - Aviva, a recent high school graduate; Judah, who is in 10th grade at Washburn High School; and Ruben, 12, who is in 7th grade at HMJDS. All three will spend time on Israel programs during the 2024-2025 school year. Professionally, Dani has built a 25-year career at the intersections of international relations, advocacy, policy, and communications. Dani maintains strong connections to Israeli friends and family.

Ethan Roberts
Ethan Roberts is the Deputy Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC). During his tenure, he has secured significant state and federal funding for Twin Cities Jewish social service agencies and enhanced charitable giving incentives. In 2022, Ethan led bipartisan legislation to divest Minnesota’s state pension funds from Russia and Belarus.
Ethan graduated from Stanford Law School and Macalester College, and attended Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School. Originally from Massachusetts, he lives in Plymouth with his wife, Naomi, and their two children, Noah and Elsie. They are members of Bet Shalom Congregation in Minnetonka. Ethan is also a professional photographer; his work can be viewed at ethanrobertsphotos.com.

Etta Barry
My name is Etta Barry and I have been on this Steering Committee since it first started and it has been an amazing experience. Prior to joining the committee I have also been very involved in our Minneapolis Jewish Community being an active Board Member and/or volunteering in many different capacities. Some of the agencies I have been involved with are the University of MN Hillel, Jewish Family & Children Services and at my synagogue, Adath Jeshurun Congregation. Our family has a strong and deep love for Israel and we have all traveled there numerous times and always look forward to the next time.

Jodi Upin
Jodi was raised in Minneapolis, where she returned after college to raise her family. Now, she splits her time between Minneapolis, California, and Israel. Her adult life has been dedicated to the Jewish community, serving on various boards and committees, including her synagogue and the JCRC. She has volunteered extensively with the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, focusing on overseas and Israel advocacy. Jodi also volunteers annually with Sar-El in Israel. Professionally, she worked in financial services and insurance before retiring to start FreshlyCut, a personalized photocard design and photography business.

Michele Kaplan Clinard
Raised in Minnesota, Michele returned to the Twin Cities in 2012 after spending several years engaged in public policy and advocacy initiatives in Washington, D.C. for several organizations, including AIPAC and the Embassy of Israel. Michele now works in the information security risk management industry, serving as an AVP for Cybersecurity Risk Management at Lincoln Financial.
Michele has volunteered and held lay leadership roles with both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations and is a recent alum of the Federation's Harry Kay Leadership Institute. Israel is a core tenet of Michele's Jewish identity and is excited to be part of this Partnership Steering Committee. She and her husband, Alan, have two daughters, two dogs and live in Hopkins.

Josh Awend
I work for my family small business selling commercial window treatments and furnishings for hospitals. I love to discuss Jewish Peoplehood and the future of our people. I am active in small business forums for both Jewish business owners and non-Jewish groups. I have had the enjoyments of going on and planning new initiatives with Minneapolis Federation. I am married to a Saint and a father to three amazing humans.

Noah Farber
My name is Noah Farber. I was born and raised in Mendota Heights, MN and I currently live by the lakes in Uptown. Growing up I had a lot of exposure to Israelis and Israeli culture. I first traveled to Israel at the ripe age of 2 and we often hosted Israelis who came to work at our various Jewish summer camps. I attended Butwin and Herzl camps, was involved with USY, and was active in Jewish life as a student at the University of Minnesota. As a young adult I'm tuned into how my peers are thinking about Israel and will try to bring that perspective to our group. Currently I work as a Salesforce consultant at a technology consulting company called Slalom. I love playing tennis, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family / friends. I also love learning languages and can speak 4 languages including English, Hebrew, Spanish, and Portuguese. I'm looking forward to working with all of you in the year to come.

Sally Abrams
Sally Abrams co-directs the Speakers Bureau and The Letters Project for the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC MinnDak). Sally has spoken about Israel and/or Judaism in thousands of churches, classrooms, and civic groups. Sally believes deeply in the power of words to educate, illuminate, and inspire. She strives to build bridges between the Jewish and non-Jewish communities. Her essays on Israel and Jewish life are widely read on The Times of Israel, Kveller, TCJewfolk, and shared across social media. Sally is a 3rd generation Minnesotan who still finds winter a shock every year. Together with her husband Mike, they cherish time with their big family-- four children and their spouses and a minyan of grandchildren. Being a grandparent is life’s greatest reward!

Scott Gordon
I'm a lifelong Minnesotan and long-time active member of the Minneapolis Jewish community and I attribute a significant part of that to the semester I spent at Tel Aviv University in 1982. I have been involved at Adath in several interest areas including two terms as a Vice President. I've been on the Minneapolis P2G Steering Committee since it's inception and have loved building connections both in Minneapolis and Rehovot. Professionally, I have worked in the IT profession for over 30 years and currently work for Medtronic (sometimes with counterparts in Israel!). I've been married for 35 years to my wife Terri, and have two adult children, Ilan and Batia. Ilan is getting married on September 18, 2022!
I am a very avid water skier and have been involved in organized water skiing as an official, coach and competitor for over 45 years.

Simcha Cohen
Born & raised in Milwaukee, WI. Throughout my life, I've been involved in many aspects of the Jewish world. Grew up the son of a Conservative Hazzan, and a JCC preschool teacher/Asst Camp Director, attended Jewish Summer camp from 2-27, active in BBYO and Hillel, lived/volunteered in Israel (Hebrew U, Project OTZMA), worked for Gann Academy, a pluralistic Jewish High School in Boston as the Programs Coordinator for the Office of Jewish and Student Life and then as the Assistant Dean of Students. In 2020 I found myself creating two startups. The first is Buddy Check, which came out of an innovation challenge by the Foundation for Jewish Camp. The second “startup”, Mayever, is only new in name and is the merging of two companies.My company Mayever is a labor of love that allows me to share the wonders of Israel with so many, but on a personal level allows me to work closely with my brother who is one of three co-founders.

Sonya Rapport
I’m Sonya Rapport trained as an acute care Physical Therapist, and the founder of Thyme.Machine.Bookbinding - an artisan bindery dedicated to preserving written memories. I am currently carrying the torch and running the Heritage Judaica initiative for the Twin Cities chapter and am the Executive Director of Beth Jacob Congregation. As a kid I always loved spending my summers at Jewish day camp and have been an active member of the Twin Cities Jewish community ever since. In my free time I love hanging out with my husband Jacob, being creative, traveling (most importantly to Israel :)), camping, biking, and spending time with family/friends.

Valeria Chazin
Valeria Chazin is the co-Founder of Students Supporting Israel (SSI), a non-profit focused on Israel education and activism, and is a member of the Zionist General Council of the World Zionist Organization. She is a speaker on the topics of Israel and Zionism and enjoys developing content and programming in this field. Valeria grew up in Israel, and after completing her IDF service, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and marketing from the University of Minnesota and a JD degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Valeria is a recipient of the Pfefer Memorial Award of the Twin Cities Cardozo Legal Society, of the Women of Intention World Saver Award of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation's Pearl Society, and of other national activism awards on behalf of SSI. She has been involved with several Jewish and non-Jewish community organizations and pro-bono legal services.

Zehorit Heilicher
Zehorit was born in 1964 Israel, to a Yemenite immigrant family. Growing up in multi-cultural Givat Olga, she experienced Israel’s rich ethnic diversity, participating in youth movement leadership roles and volunteering in JAFI’s Project Renewal. Following high school graduation, Zehorit Joined the Israeli army, where she became an officer, finishing her service as a lieutenant. She then moved to Tel Aviv where she majored in English Literature and Political Science at the Tel Aviv University. During her studies Zehorit worked as a translator for a Dutch company stationed in Tel Aviv and volunteered in a program helping Ethiopian new immigrants acclimate to Israeli life. she has found a passion for teaching cooking classes in both the Jewish and the general communities as a vehicle to facilitating conversation, curiosity, and Israel education. she developed a food line and for a while was creating Israeli & Mediterranean food to order. As the business grew, she decided to focus on teaching and connecting with people, rather than on food production.

Sharon Yaron was born in Jerusalem. She has two daughters and moved to Rehovot for over a decade ago. Sharon holds a BA in sociology and anthropology and an MA in public policy from Tel Aviv University.
Sharon began her career at the Ministry of Finance, then worked as the director of the economic department at the Israeli consulate in Shanghai, China, where she was responsible for setting up image booths at international exhibitions and organizing business delegations.
In her current role, Sharon manages the "Beit Dror" Holocaust Memorial Center in the Rehovot Municipality. At the same time, Sharon produces business events for international companies in Israel and abroad.
Sharon Yaron
Partnership Co-Chair

Adi Milstein was born in 1950 in Tel Aviv. She met her husband, David, in Dimona, where she worked as a teacher. In 1976 they relocated to the U.S., where Adi earned a master's degree in special education and taught at Jewish day schools, while David did postdoctoral studies and worked in chemistry. In 1986, the family returned to Israel, where Adi became a school principal and later, a district superintendent responsible for Jewish studies, democracy education and Jewish-Arab coexistence. Adi was a co-leader of Project 20:20, which brought together educators from Israel and the Jewish community of Cleveland, Ohio. she is a leader of Rehovot's "Psifas" community of religious and secular Jews who share a common interest in Jewish tradition and identity.
Adi Milstein

Avital has her own marketing business. She is the former Media, Marketing & Public Affairs Director of Rehovot Municipality and also the Foreign Relations Manager and a Board Member. In the past she acted as Spokesperson and Director of the Communications Division, at Pelephone- one of the leading cellular companies in Israel, and also as the Spokesperson of the association of the wellbeing of Israeli soldiers. In this role she started to get to know the warm hearted Jewish communities around the world. Avital is also a wife and mother to 3 boys, she is an amateur photographer and likes to read. Her favorite hobby is matchmaking.
Avital Regev Keysar

Aviva Halabi holds a Masters degree in Social Work. She is the Director of the Rehovot Urban Mediation and Dialogue Center, as well as Chairman of the Board of the Association of Mediation Centers in the Israel.
Aviva also holds the position of Advisor to the Mayor of Rehovot for the Advancement of Women, and she is a member of the Association of Advocates for the Advancement of Women in the Local Authorities Association (a national position, representing 256 local authorities). She has been a member of the P2G Steering Committee for the past 8 years. In that time Aviva has served as a mentor for 248, Emma Gilbert and Teen leadership. She has also hosted the JCRC and student delegations. In addition, Aviva also volunteers as chairman of the Beit Shemesh – Mateh Yehuda – South Africa partnership and is a public activist in various fields. She is married and the proud mother of 7 children.
Aviva Halabi

Avivit Schecroun is currently The internal auditor of Mazkert-Batya, a wife and a mother for 4 daughters.
She is the head of the Scout Tribe in her neighborhood (Shevet Yair) and active mom at her young twins school.
At the Partnership's, Avivit involves in programs related to youth, mainly The youth Leadership Program and the Emma Gilbert Scholarship program.
Her hobbies are hiking, music and drinking good wine.
Avivit Schecroun

Bat-Ami was born in Rehovot, moved away for few years and came back with her husband and kids. She is active in her community in social fields, whether it’s the school, the shule or the neighborhood.
In the past, Bat-Ami has been involved in many programs related to Diaspora Jews such as Shlichut (educational emissary) of the Jewish Agency for Israel to the Jewish community in Melbourne- Australia, working in Jewish Day Schools and youth movements.
Bat Ami Hain

My name is Batya Ben Ari, I am 36, married with 3 children. I am a manager in the field of special education and I work with adults with special needs in Rehovot. I am socially active in the city and was instrumental in starting an environmental group in my neighborhood to fix the roads. I am also an artist, specializing in drawing. I love photography and hiking, meeting new people and learning something new each day.
Batya Ben Ari

Dudy is married to Avishag and father to Hagar and Refael. He is currently serving as a Director of the community housing and resident services administration for the Rehovot Municipality. He previously worked as a manager for the IDF after serving as CEO in a municipality close to Jerusalem. For 20 years he served as chief of staff and other positions in the Rehovot municipality. He is devoted to improving public service with the ultimate goal of making Rehovot a better place to live. When not at work, Dudy is busy being a husband and father. He also likes so cycle, run, swim, dive and read. Dudy is proud to be one of the founding members of the Partnership.
Dudy Ashkenazy

Dudy is married and the father of 3. He holds a BA in Psychology and Economics and a MA in Social Work from Tel Aviv University.
For the past 12 years Dudy has been a high school teacher for teens in external school. He is assisting in building a holistic program for each student in order for them to succeed and have a good experience in school.
Recently he is finishing a course in art therapy which he hopes to use as an additional tool to help youth and build a better future. Dudy is a graduate of P2G’s Emma Gilbert Student Scholar program.
Dudy Alon

Guy was born in Kaplan hospital in Rehovot in 1994 and graduated from Amos De-Shalit high school In 2012.
He did his IDF service in Magav (Mishmar Hagvul-Border Patrol) as a combat medic.
Currently Guy is studying DevOps at Infinity Labs R&D.
Guy has been a part of the P2G family since 2015 when his family hosted students on the first Alternative Spring Break. He also traveled to Minneapolis as a volunteer chaperone with the Teen Leadership program. He also took part in the Minnesota-Wisconsin Birthright as a soldier which is what lead him to become involved in the Partnership.
Guy Glazer

Havatzelet is currently the director of content and marketing at the Yemenite Jewry Heritage Center & World Jewish Communities in Rehovot. Havatzelet Responsible for the planning, production of content and events, Symposiums, book launches, shows, workshops, exhibitions etc that taking place at the in the Heritage center. Havatzelet sees great importance and meaning in spreading the heritage of Yemeni culture and communities in Israel, because our past is our future.
Her hobbies are traveling in Israel and around the world, running and art. Married to Lior and they have three children, Lihy, Liel and Noa. Liel is a child with special needs. She began her volunteering in the Rehovot-Minneapolis partnership as part of the 248 project.
Havatzelet Gur

Kalanit Aharoni Girshtel is a project manager at ControlUp. She lives in Rehovot with her husband and two children. Kalanit is passionate about her different activities, ranging from her professional work in the business sector to her involvement in various social initiatives. Initially, Kalanit joined the 248 program due to her strong connection with Jewish values and her desire to share experiences and learn from Jews overseas. Her commitment to the Jewish community has since deepened, and she is now a proud member of the steering committee. This role has strengthened her Zionist identity and reinforced her dedication to fostering connections between Israel and the global Jewish diaspora. Kalanit is enthusiastic about contributing her skills and time to different activities, both in her professional field and within the Rehovot community. Her involvement in these initiatives reflects her commitment to making a positive impact on both local and international levels.
Kalanit Aharoni Girshtel

Nettie Beer was born in Israel but emigrated to the United States at the age of two. She grew up in the United States and returned to Israel with her husband in 1975. While growing up in the USA she attended Jewish Day Schools . After graduating Queens College of the City University of New York with a degree in Education and English she made aliyah to Rehovot. Nettie has 4 children and 15 grandchildren. Two of her children live in Rehovot. Nettie has taken charge of the Minneapolis-Rehovot book club and for the past 6 years has joined Darchei Noam with the Berman Synagogue in discussions about books with Jewish content. She has also volunteered in the Cafe Hafuch project and the grandparent project.
Nettie Beer

Nicole was born in Rehovot in 1999 and has lived there her entire life. She graduated with highest honors from the Hebrew University with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations. Currently, she works as an Executive Project Manager at Shalva and is completing her Master's degree in Conflict Management and Diplomacy at Reichman University. Nicole is an alumna of the P2G youth program and is currently the youngest member of the partnership. In her free time, she enjoys working out, learning languages, going for walks, playing the piano, and spending as much time as possible with her family and pets.
Nicole Leus

Nofar Andibo, is married to Moshe and has two children.She is an Operational Excellence Leader at Unilever, a consumer goods company, and holds a BA in education an MBA in AI & Big Data Programming from Reichman University and a BsC in Industrial Engineering from the Technion. In the past, Nofar has been involved in many programs related to Diaspora Jewry such as taking part in a Camp Ramah delegation, Birthright, “Connectech” Program (A Hillel ,student program connecting Technion students with MIT students ) and P2G’s Teen Leadership delegation to Minneapolis. Nofar is passionate about contributing her time and effort to these partnerships, finding great inspiration in her involvement.
She considers these collaborations to be a powerful source of strength.

Nofar Andibo

Roey, aged 45, is married to Meital and has 3 children.
In 1996, Roey was drafted and served as combat soldier and commander in the IDF's Duvdevan Unit. Roey returned to the army 2 years after his release and served as the commander of the Territorial Defense of the Northern Gaza Brigade. His job was to ensure the communities were properly prepared for emergency situations as well as additional functions, including taking part in the Operations "Pillar of Defense" (Amud Anan - 2012) and Protective Edge (Tzuk Eitan – 2014). After 4 years Roey become second-in-command in the elite Maglan unit. Roey represented the relationship between the army and the citizens that it serves to protect. In 2016 he served as part of the Partnership sponsored IDF Officer's delegation to Minneapolis, representing Rehovot. Roey left the IDF at the end of 2019 and today is a teacher of civics, social engagement coordinator, and 12th grade coordinator at high school in Nes Tziona.
Roey Kochavi

Paz Viki Gueta, born and raised in Rehovot, holds a bachelor's degree in Communication with a specialization in Marketing and Organizational Behavior from Sapir College. At just 22, she founded her own event production business for children, managing and organizing private events. Alongside her entrepreneurial work, she gained experience in various organizations, managing projects in the solar energy sector and working at the Ministry of Environmental Protection. In the political field, she led election campaigns at both local and national levels.
Today, she serves as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Rehovot, Matan Dil, and as the city's Head of External Relations. Passionate about traveling, dancing, and reading, she is always looking for new challenges to take on.
Paz Gueta

Miki Chayat, 33, lives in Rehovot, Israel, with his wife and three children. He attended Talmud Torah and Yeshiva in Rehovot and Nachalat David in Petach Tikva.
Miki is a certified capoeira and acrobatics trainer. He was the Israeli capoeira champion in 2015 and 2017, won the Mediterranean championship in 2017, and placed 4th in the 2019 world championship in Rio de Janeiro.
In 2013, he opened 'Studio Asai' in Bnei Brak, offering subsidized dance and sports classes. In 2015, he founded the ultra-Orthodox association for rhythm, using sports to help youth at risk and promote unity in Israel. He has represented Israel in various projects and forums. Miki is a graduate of the US Embassy's IVLP, the Mandel Institute for Leadership, and holds a bachelor's degree in Education and Society.
